Volunteering to help Broomhill Sports Club.

The club looks for Parents to get involved with running the club. There would be no Broomhill Sports Club without the efforts of over 90 people who give up there time for their Children’s Club. However we always need new volunteers.

We are looking for Volunteer Coaches who will help train in the week and take teams at weekends. The amount of time will usually involve training twice a week and a match at weekends. We would provide our Coaches with training and lots of support. In addition there would be coaching badges that are usually a requirement of most coaching bodies.

We also require people to take on the role of Team Administrators who work in support of the Coaches letting them get on with working with their players. The role involves collecting subs and making sure all the necessary forms are filled in. The role is also to liaise with Parents and help with communication between the membership.

There are lots of other jobs that are essential such as washing the kits, putting up nets, getting kids to games, half time oranges etc . These roles can be shared amongst the Parents but it is great to have people volunteering to help.

There may be a set of skills that you have that could be of use to the club. For example a Parent has set up a text alert service for us that can give notice of cancellations due to bad weather. Another parent is a Doctor and is setting up First Aid Courses.

Can you help with a Newsletter, can you raise money, do you know someone who will sponsor us, do you know someone who can further our cause, can you help !
