Karate News. Grading Friday 3rd September 6 to 8pm Hyndland There will be a grading for those eligible on Friday the 3rd September at Hyndland School from 6 to 8pm. This is a small grading as a lot of people will not have been training over the summer. This also means that there will be no training that night. Students are encouraged to come down and see the grading, particularly if they have not sat a grading before. The cost for the grading is £20 and students must be licensed to grade. There is no charge for watching.
Competition Sat 4th September 2:30 to 5pm Broomhill Primary (main building) There will be a competition for the students on Sat the 4th of September at Hyndland Secondary. This competition is against other clubs that I run or am involved with. I know all the children that will be taking part. The competition will be in two parts. The first will be kata. The students need to know at least one kata to take part. Yellow belts and above should know two. The 2nd part will be kumite. This is non contact and heavily controlled. Students are matched against people of similar age and experience. There will also be a novice category for those that have only been training for a short while. The competition costs £5. This includes entry into both kata and kumite. It will be a great event and lots of fun with medals galore. Spectators are very welcome to come along.
Club Restart The club will restart on Friday the 20th August at Hyndland Secondary School from 6 to 7:30. I hope you have all had a great summer, kept fit, flexible and are raring to go for the new term!
