Karate at Broomhill Sports Club. Karate is a fun and safe sport for children of all ages and abilities. It is also so much more. As well as learning valuable self defence skills and taking part in competitions, karate can give huge improvements in a person's fitness, flexibility, discipline, coordination and self confidence. In addition, students can sit exams or gradings to gain internationally recognised belts. In three years, a student could progress to become a black belt! Students are taught by highly qualified black belt instructors with loads of teaching experience. We currently run two classes a week at Hyndland Secondary School. These run on a Monday and Friday evenings from 6 to 7:30pm. They are open to all children aged 6 years or older. We enter competitions on a regular basis and hold gradings every 3 months. We also do social activities outside of karate. So if you want a challenge and learn some great new skills, just come along! We are always happy to take on new students, from complete beginners to experienced athletes. There is something for everyone at Broomhill. Just turn up at one of the sessions. You don't need to bring anything, just wear lose comfortable clothes or shorts and a t-shirt. NOTE: WE WILL BE TRAINING AT BROOMHILL PRIMARY FROM FRI 23RD APRIL TO 4TH JUNE For more info see the links below or contact the head coach Peter Galbraith on 0774 778 6785.
